Flights

Andalucía Hideaways does not sell transport, nor can we be responsible for any Airline, Train Operator or Ferry Company. On our website we offer information on the different routes available; however we neither recommend nor discourage our clients from choosing the form of transport that most suits their needs.

We will be delighted to advise on the pros and cons of booking the various routes and flights available and will be pleased to help find the most convenient airport, flights and timings for you.

As a complimentary service to clients, we will, if requested, buy seats - using the party leader’s Credit or Debit Card to make the purchase. In order for us to do this, we would ask you to do the following:

Email Us:

  • The full names as per passport of each person travelling
  • The airline, dates and the routes you would like to book
  • The passports numbers, expiry dates along with the date of birth of each person travelling
  • Confirm how many pieces of luggage you want to check in to the hold per party.
  • If you want to pay for extra legroom seats on airlines which offer this service i.e. Monarch
  • If you would like to pay for group seating or priority boarding
  • If any of your party need wheelchair assistance

You will then need to call us and give us your card details as follows:

  • The card number
  • Expiry date
  • The card holders name as it appears on the card
  • The last 3 digits of the security number on the back of the card
  • The address where the card statement is registered

Once we have confirmation of the flights booked, we will email you the Flight Confirmation Invoice which will show all that has been booked on your behalf along with amount paid which you can then match against your card or bank statements.

Change of flight times

Airlines and airports reserve the right to amend their flying schedules prior to departure. You should always be advised of any significant changes as soon as the airline implements the change. However 2 weeks before travel we suggest that you check on the airline’s website that your flights are operating as per the times on your confirmation to avoid any surprises.

Name changes

The name shown on a ticket must exactly match the name of the passenger travelling, as it appears in his/her passport (first full name and surname). If not, you may be refused boarding and have to purchase a new ticket for your journey, so please ensure that you email us the correct names of all passengers at the time of booking. Once your flights have been booked, it is often possible to make name changes; however you will have to cover the cost of the extra charges. If there are any errors on your Flight Confirmation Invoice you should advise the airline immediately.

Free Seating and Priority Boarding

Easyjet and Ryanair offer a ‘free seating’ policy i.e. the first passengers to board the aircraft get the best choice of seats. Both airlines also offer at an extra cost a priority boarding service to help increase (not guarantee) that you will be among the first group of passengers to board the aircraft. Easyjet board their passengers who have paid for speedy boarding, then families with children aged 5 or under and finally all other passengers. Note: On Ryanair aircraft none of the seats recline.

Group seating

Bmibaby, Flybe, Globespan, Jet2 and Monarch offer passengers the opportunity of pre-booking guaranteed seats together, normally for a pre-paid supplement. Prices vary but will typically cost from £10 per adult and £5 per child. If you opt not to pre-book seats together, your seats will be allocated when you check in your luggage.

Leg Room

Jet2, Globespan and Monarch offer passengers the opportunity to pre-book seats with extra leg room – supplements start from £15 per person one-way.

Checked In - Luggage allowance

The majority of airlines allow passengers to pay to check in a single bag of up to 20kg of luggage per person. Ryanair only allows passengers to pay to check in a single bag of up to 15kg of luggage per person. There is no checked in luggage allowance for infants. The amount of luggage is strictly controlled and excess luggage charges are made direct to the airline of handling agent before passengers are issued their boarding passes. If you wish to check-in any bulky items (for example childrens car seats, bicycles, golf clubs or surf gear), please check with the airline via their website for the costs involved.

Cabin Baggage Allowance

Each passenger aged 2 years old or over is entitled to take one piece of hand baggage into the cabin with them. As a guideline this piece of luggage should not be any larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and should normally not weigh more than 10 kilos.

Scheduled flights

For passengers who prioritise space, comfort and in flight service - we suggest flying with BA where the leg room in economy is 31” and in Club Europe 34”. BA flies between Heathrow and Málaga twice a day, BA also operate daily flights from Gatwick to both Málaga and Gibraltar.

Flight delays

On occasion, delays can occur to your flights, which are unfortunately out of our control. In this event, whenever possible we will ensure that the airline or operator effectively communicates the reasons for and extent of any delays and implements appropriate standards of welfare provision to our clients. ABTA recommendations state that in the event of a delay of more than three hours, clients should receive light refreshments. After six hours, clients should receive a main meal and in the event of longer delays clients should receive appropriate accommodation for the time of day. EU carriers should also follow the EU Regulation 261/2004 in the event of delays, and these cants be viewed online at www.auc.org.uk
